Martin qualified from Edinburgh in 1990 and worked in various areas of the UK before returning to his roots near Penrith and taking over the practice in 2013. He enjoys mentoring new staff and spending time building relationships with clients. Martin is an all rounder and is equally happy doing fertility visits as with small animal soft tissue surgeries and orthopaedics, he's even happy to mop the floors!

Charlie moved to Cumbria in 2022 after studying in Edinburgh. Her main interest is farm work but she also loves building a personal relationship with smaller patients and their owners. Outside of work, she can be found putting her Norfolk legs through their paces in the fells or hiding inside with some paints or a book when the weather is just a bit too Cumbrian!

Fiona graduated from Liverpool in July 2025 and joined the team in September. She is keen to develop her skills in all species and is excited to meet all of the clients! Outside of work she enjoys competing in running events as well as cycling and hiking in the Lakes.

Kim joined the Green Vets in March 2018, returning to work after starting her family. During her spare time when Kim is not working, she enjoys travelling and camping with her family and her hobbies include running and walking her dogs Jessy and Spot.

Jess joined the team in February 2025 part-time whilst studying for her Masters Degree in Veterinary Epidemiology and Public Health with the University of London. When she is not at The Green or studying she enjoys relief milking, riding her horse and walking in the Lakes with her dogs Digby and Biscuit.

Vicki joined us from Manchester in December 2023 having started in veterinary work in 2014 and qualifying as a nurse in 2019. She enjoys cycling and hiking in the Cumbrian countryside when she's not in work and spending time with her 2 cats.
